Products and Conditions for Loan Origination

Use

Products and condition tables are created and managed differently within Loan Origination , depending on the product categories:

  • The following applies to the following product categories:

    • Mortgage Loan (300)

    • Policy Loan (320)

    • General Loan (330)

      For these product categories you define the products and condition tables in the SAP Easy Access menu under Start of the navigation path Accounting Next navigation step Bank Applications Next navigation step Loans Management Next navigation step Environment Next navigation step XI Interfaces Next navigation step New Business End of the navigation path .

      You can only use the products and condition tables you create here in connection with Loans Origination , in other words with the integration of an origination system. If you create or process loans in Loans Management using the existing functions provided for these activities, the system does not read these products and condition tables.

      The system determines both the product and the condition table to be used by way of the derivation rule that you define in Customizing. For this reason you do not assign condition tables to your products but just create them here.

  • The following applies for the product category Consumer Loans (340):

    For this product category you define the products and condition tables in the SAP Easy Access menu under Start of the navigation path Accounting Next navigation step Bank Applications Next navigation step Loans Management Next navigation step Current Settings Next navigation step Consumer Loan Next navigation step Products and Conditions End of the navigation path .

    The products and condition tables created here are not only used in connection with Loans Origination; the system also reads these products and condition tables when you use the functions for creating or processing loans in Loans Management .

    You also need to have assigned one or more condition tables to each product using the Edit Condition Assignment function. In this product category the system only uses the derivation rules that you defined in Customizing to determine the product to be used.It does not determine the condition table by way of the derivation rule but by the assignment you have defined under Edit Condition Assignment .
