Prerequisites

Customizing for Loans Management

In addition to the existing settings required for creating loans, you need to have executed the following IMG activities:

  • Under Define Prefix you have defined a prefix for creating the internal product ID, and the attribute ID.

    Note Note

If you are using loans from the product type Consumer Loan (340) then you have already defined the prefix.

    End of the note.
  • Under Start of the navigation path Define Condition Groups Next navigation step Assign Condition Types to Condition Groups per Application End of the navigation path you can assign the flow types for the application subfunction 300 Loan Creation for the following product categories:

    • Mortgage Loan (300)

    • Policy Loan (320)

    • General Loan (330)

This is only necessary if you want to create condition tables for products from these product categories.

Furthermore, you need to have executed the following IMG activities under Start of the navigation path Tools Next navigation step XI Interfaces Next navigation step New Business: End of the navigation path

  • Basic Settings

    • Determine Control Parameters for Loan Origination

    • Define Loan Originator

  • Products

    • Determine Product Attributes

You only execute this activity if you want to define your own product attributes. You use this IMG activity for the following product categories:

      • Mortgage Loan (300)

      • Policy Loan (320)

      • General Loan (330)

        Note Note

You determine the product attributes for the product category Consumer Loan (340) under Start of the navigation path Transaction Management Next navigation step Products End of the navigation path in the IMG activity Determine Attributes for Consumer Loans (340).

        End of the note.
  • Mapping Between Originator and Loans Management

    • Define Charge Condition Types and Insurance Key

    • Assign Conditions

    • Assign Payment Methods

    • Assign Business Partner Data

    • Assign Insurance Rates

    • Assign Sales Channels

    • Assign Loan Purpose

  • Derivation Rules

    • Define Derivation Rules for Loan Originator

    • Define Derivation Rules for Company Code

    • Define Derivation Rules for Product

      Note Note

You need to define a derivation for a product in Loans Management for each product in your origination system, even in cases where you do not want the system to add the default values from the product attributes to the data from the origination system, when it calculates or creates a loan. This is necessary because each product is assigned a product type, and therefore a product category, in Loans Management and the system needs these two values when it calculates or creates a loan.

      End of the note.
    • Define Derivation Rules for Organization Unit

    • Define Derivation Rules for Condition Table

  • Business Add Ins (BAdIs)

    • BAdI: Create Loan

Scope of Functions

The following message interfaces are available in package FVVD_IN_PROXY:

  • LoanCalculationQuery

This message interface is used to calculate loans and includes the following message types:

    • LoanCalculationQuery

In this message type the origination system specifies with which data Loans Management is to calculate which values for the loan.

    • LoanCalculationResponse

In this message type Loans Management sends the calculated loan data back to the origination system synchronously, in other words at the same time.

The calculation of the following values is provided for in the standard system:

    • Term

    • Contract capital

    • Payment installment

    • Effective interest rate

    • Payment plan

  • LoanContractCreateRequest_In

This message interface is used to create loans and contains the message type LoanContractCreateReques t. In this message type the origination system sends the data for creating a loan to Loans Management. Loans Management checks, transforms and supplements the data and creates the loan.

  • LoanContractCreateConfirmation_Out

This message interface is used to confirm loan creation and contains the message type LoanContractCreateConfirmation. In this message type Loans Management sends the confirmation that the loan is created to the origination system asynchronously, in other words not at the same time as the creation request.
