CMC Order and Operation Data

Use

The screen area of the CMC containing the order and operation data contains a number of columns, of which the most important are described here. The CMC extracts most of its information from the orders/operations themselves, displaying them together in a list format. A Refresh button in the application toolbar allows you to update information as often as required.

Structure

Depending on the settings in the CMC profile or on the selection screen the CMC can display consecutive operations grouped on a work center basis, providing you with a good overview of the work and its progress in each work center (general work center view) or in a particular work center (single work center view).

You can display one or more work centers in the list at the same time depending on whether you choose a single work center view or a general view of the CMC. Therefore, it is important that you can see which columns contain general order information and which contain information specific to a work center. The columns that contain work center-specific information have the work center symbol in addition to the column header text.

Note Note

If you have to change data from within the CMC and the authorization dialog box indicator is activated in the selected CMC profile, a User verification dialog box appears in which you have to enter your user name and password. The system checks whether the user name/password matches the user name and password of the user logged on to the system. If these match, the CMC starts the corresponding action.

End of the note.

Only the most important columns are described below:

Column

Meaning

Prio

Priority value column.

A button displays the priority value of the order in the work center or in general depending on the selected CMC view. If you have the required authorization and the manual priority indicator has been activated in Customizing for order codes , by clicking on this button you can manually change/overrule the priority value. This feature is aimed at users who monitor orders in the system.

Note Note

If you change a priority value, the CMC displays the manual value between dashes (for example, - 1 - ). You can reset the priority value to automatic calculation by the CMC. If you select Reset on the dialog box that appears after clicking on the button the CMC initially displays no priority value on the screen. You must select Refresh on the application toolbar to see the priority value that the CMC recalculates.

If the priority button has a red border the CMC has calculated the priority value based on a negative stock quantity. This is only valid for orders that have order codes with stock-based priority settings.

If you change the priority value of an order with relationships the priority value of all orders in the relationship also changes.

End of the note.

If you change the priority value in the CMC, the system automatically sets the Prio Manually Fixed indicator on the Addit. Data tabstrip in the order and, if selected in the Order information screen area of the CMC.

MC (Missing Confirmation)

If activated in Customizing for order codes the CMC displays a symbol if you have not posted a (partial) confirmation in the expected timeframe for a completed operation(s).

MEC (Missing End Confirmation)

If activated in Customizing for order codes , the CMC displays a symbol if you do not post an end confirmation for an order although all work on the operations is completed.

PtP (Put to Process)

You can change the user status of the order from Ready for process to In progress .

Note Note

If the order is linked to other orders, and you want to change the status of the selected order, the linked orders are also displayed in the dialog box and their user status also changes to match the status of the selected order.

PTP (Put-to-Process) is only active if you use a grouped user status that you have defined in CMC Customizing. Furthermore, it is a prerequisite that you have maintained the PTP indicator and the WIP indicator for this user status profile.

End of the note.

BSP (Bring Spare Part)

This button contains an empty function module, ADRT10_BRING_SPARE_PARTS, that you can use to program additional CMC functionality.

Example Example

For example, you can program this button to request parts for a specific operation or order.

End of the example.

US (User Status)

If you use grouped CMC user statuses you can change the user status, for example from In progress to Delayed .

Note Note

If the order is linked to other orders, and you want to change the status of the selected order, the linked orders are also displayed in the dialog box and their user status also changes to match the status of the selected order.

US (User status) is only active if you use a grouped user status that you have defined in CMC Customizing. Furthermore, it is a prerequisite that you have maintained the PTP indicator and the WIP indicator for this user status profile.

End of the note.

TWT (Change transport time)

A button displays either S for standard TWT, or M for minimum TWT.

You can change the standard value for transportation between work centers for the order, which affects order scheduling. This feature overrules the system settings to allow an order to pass through the MRO chain of work centers more quickly.

Note Note

If the selected order is linked to other orders, the system displays them in a dialog box and their TWT changes to match that of the selected order.

End of the note.

If you change the TWT, you have to click the Refresh button in the application toolbar to update the scheduling.

Upd. (Update)

This button sets or clears time constraints that are defined for operations in the order itself. This means the system updates/clears the earliest start and the latest end dates/times as restrictions within the order.

Note Note

If you use this feature, you have to press Refresh or restart the CMC for the changes to take effect.

End of the note.

Earliest start

Earliest end

Latest start

Latest end

The earliest and latest dates/times of each operation are displayed here. The CMC calculates this information from the total available buffer , the value maintained in the field Stretch factor in Customizing for order codes , and the standard duration of the operation.

Note Note

The system displays the date and time in one field.

End of the note.

Work ctr

Displays the name of the work center performing the work on that operation.

OpAc/fr. and OpAc/to

The start and end numbers of the operations in the selected line.

Rel. (Relationships)

This column identifies whether operations/orders are linked by relationships.

Blank means that no relationship exists for the selected orders.

X means that relationships exist and all order dates agree.

X with red background means that relationships exist for the marked orders. However, the dates on order header level are different in the linked orders. In this case the CMC uses the worst-time scenario to schedule the orders together. This means that it considers the earliest start date and the earliest end date of all linked orders in scheduling.

Act. start date

Act. start time

Act. work

These three columns show when work actually started on a particular operation, and how much work has been completed so far.

Note Note

These columns only contain data if you post confirmations for the respective orders and operations.

End of the note.

Duration

Standard duration of the operation(s) in the selected line.

WC buffer

Buffer of the selected work center

Total buffer

Total buffer across all work centers for the entire order.

UB1 to UB5

The user buttons contain an empty function module ADRT10_USER_BUTTON . You can use this function module to define up to five additional functions for the CMC - one for each user button.
