CMC Tabstrips

Use

In the tabstrips on the lower part of the CMC screen, the CMC provides you with other more in-depth information on operations/orders. This means that you can look at information related to the selected operations/orders without leaving the screen.

Structure

If you double-click on an item in a line on the order hierarchy, the CMC adds information into the tabstrips. You can also do this by selecting one of the tabstrip options from the context menu in the order hierarchy .

On the left of the tabstrips, the Order information displays details on the selected order, such as order number, order code, user status, and so on. The system always displays this information once you have double-clicked on an order, irrespective of which tabstrip you are in.

The tabstrips contain the following information:

Tabstrip

Meaning

Order

Equipment

If you need F1-help select the field for which you require help and click on the right of the screen.

Operations

Information related to the operations in the order or group of orders if linked by relationships.

You can select from three different views on this tabstrip:

  • Selected operations - displays the selected operations within the selected work center line in the order hierarchy.

  • Operations for work center - displays the operations in the order/order group that must be performed in the selected work center.

  • All operations - displays all operations in the order or group of orders if linked by relationships. This is the default setting.

After selecting one of the three radio buttons, you have to click the Refresh button to the right of the radio buttons to update the Operation tabstrip details.

Task List

An overview of the existing task lists for the order. These can be equipment, general, and/or functional task lists.

You can determine the scope of the task list overview (using checkboxes as a filter), and view the task list through a built-in call transaction - select the task list and click Display to go to Display General Task List .

If the task list for the selected order is not there click Get to retrieve it.

Warnings and Delays

Overview of:

  • the criticality of available buffer explained with text instead of the symbols used in the Order hierarchy . If you click on the symbol you get a list of reasons for the alert setting set by the system.

  • the priority value explained in more detail. If you click on the symbol next to the priority value on the tabstrip a dialog box appears containing information about the priority value, such as Customizing settings, and so on.

  • the delivery situation. For example, the Worst replenishment date shows the "worst-case" scenario, if you have more than one component, that is the longest lead time of these components that is required to provide all components. However, within each component the system determines the replenishment lead time as follows:

  • looks for incoming purchase orders and takes the earliest one

  • if there are no incoming purchase orders, it looks for outstanding PM/CS orders (WIP)

  • if there are no WIP, it looks for incoming purchase requisitions and takes the earliest one

  • if there are no purchase requisitions, it considers all of the info records for a material and takes the shortest procurement time

  • if there are none, it reads the replenishment lead time from the material master

Note Note

In all of the above cases the CMC considers the rules in the same way as it determines those that are added to the serviceable quantity for the range of coverage and the stock-based priority value.

The CMC only considers purchase orders, WIP and purchase requisitions that fall in the periods forward horizon.

End of the note.
