Using Transport Organizer Web UI (CTS_ORGANIZER)Locate this document in the navigation structure

Use
Note Transport Organizer Web UI (CTS_ORGANIZER) is available only if the CTS plug-in is installed in your SAP system. Otherwise, CTS_BROWSER is used.

If the CTS plug-in is installed in your SAP system, the Web Dynpro ABAP application CTS_ORGANIZER replaces CTS_BROWSER, which is available in the standard SAP NetWeaver delivery.

For more information about the CTS plug-in, see the links in the More Information section below.

You can use Transport Organizer Web UI to work with transport requests.

Procedure
Note The steps described in this procedure represent an example scenario.
  1. Start Transport Organizer Web UI (CTS_ORGANIZER).

To be able to organize your transports in Transport Organizer Web UI, you must start it using the Transport Management System (transaction STMS). The system then executes an initial search and displays the transport requests that were found.

For more information, see Starting Transport Organizer Web UI (CTS_ORGANIZER) and Transport Organizer Web UI (CTS_ORGANIZER).

  2. Display existing transport requests or create new requests.

You can select transport requests according to different criteria. The transport requests that are found are displayed in a hierarchical request overview and can be edited there.

For more information, see Searching for and Displaying Transport Requests (CTS_ORGANIZER).

You can create transport requests for non-ABAP objects.

For more information, see Creating Transport Requests (CTS_ORGANIZER).

  3. Change transport requests.

You can make changes to existing transport requests, such as preselecting transport requests or attaching objects to them. For more information, see Changing Transport Requests (CTS_ORGANIZER).

  4. Optional: Delete transport requests.

If you no longer need a transport request, you can delete it.

For more information, see Deleting Transport Requests (CTS_ORGANIZER).

  5. Release transport requests.

If the development is complete, you can release the relevant transport request. This places the transport request in the import queue of the follow-on system and it can then be imported there.

For more information, see Releasing Transport Requests (CTS_ORGANIZER).

  6. Monitor the transports.

After transport requests have been released, you should check the transport logs to make sure that no errors occurred. Equally, you should check the transport logs after an import in the follow-on systems has taken place. You can access all these transport logs from Transport Organizer Web UI.

For more information, see Displaying the Transport Status and Transport Logs.
