Creating Transport Requests (CTS_ORGANIZER)

Procedure

Note CTS_ORGANIZER is available only if the CTS plug-in is installed in the ABAP system in which you start Transport Organizer Web UI. Otherwise, CTS_BROWSER is used.

Start Transport Organizer Web UI (CTS_ORGANIZER).
Choose Create Request.
In the dialog box, enter the following information:
- Enter a meaningful short description as this will make it easier to find your transport requests again in the future.
- Optional: Select a target system or enter one.
- Optional: Select a CTS project to which the transport request is to be assigned.
  
  Note By default, this information is optional. However, if the attribute SAP_CTS_PROJECT has been configured as mandatory in your system, you need to enter a value here. For more information on CTS projects, see Attribute SAP_CTS_PROJECT.
- Optional: The logged-on user is usually entered as the owner of the request. You can change the owner of the request to another user.
- Optional: If you want to use this transport request as a default request, select the Preselect Request checkbox.
Choose Create.

Note For applications that are closely coupled with the Change and Transport System, transport requests can also be created directly in the application. For more information, refer to the documentation of the application.

Result

The transport request is available for further editing. In the message area, a message appears stating that the transport request was created. The new request is displayed in the overview.
