Starting Transport Organizer Web UI (CTS_ORGANIZER)Locate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites
Note CTS_ORGANIZER is available only if the CTS plug-in is installed in the ABAP system in which you start Transport Organizer Web UI. Otherwise, CTS_BROWSER is used.
Procedure
  1. Log on to the SAP system and client with the user and password in which you want to use Transport Organizer Web UI (CTS_ORGANIZER).

  2. To start Transport Management System (TMS), call transaction STMS.

  3. Choose Start of the navigation path Environment  Next navigation step Transport Organizer Web UI End of the navigation path.

This starts Transport Organizer Web UI for the client that was defined in the TMS parameter NON_ABAP_WBO_CLIENT.

  4. In the System dialog box, enter the system ID of the system for which you want to organize your transport request. This is usually the development system. You can use the input help to choose a system.

Note For closely coupled applications, you can start the Web UI directly from the application. For more information, see the documentation for the relevant application.

The system executes an initial search according to the following criteria:

    • Logged on user

    • System and client to which the user is logged on.

    • Status of transport request: Modifiable

    • Transport request type: Workbench request

Transport Organizer Web UI opens in a new browser window and displays all transport requests that correspond to the search criteria.

Optional: Adding Transport Organizer Web UI to your favorites in the SAP Easy Access user menu

  1. In SAP Easy Access user menu, choose Start of the navigation path Favorites  Next navigation step Add Other Objects Next navigation step Web Dynpro Application End of the navigation path.

The Web Dynpro Application dialog box is displayed.

  2. Enter CTS_ORGANIZER in the Web Dynpro Application field.

  3. Specify a description of the favorite.

    Recommendation

If you frequently manage transport requests in the same system, create an entry with the system ID of your source system. Enter the system ID of your source system as the description, enter the parameter name SYSID in the Parameter area, and the system ID of your non-ABAP system as the value.

  4. Optional: In the Parameter area you can specify URL parameters with which the Transport Organizer Web UI is to be called. Using the input help select the required parameters and enter a parameter value. You can use the following parameters:

    Recommendation

Although other parameters may also be available in the list, we recommend that you use only those described below.

    • SYSID: You can use this parameter to create a favorite for Transport Organizer Web UI in your SAP Easy Access user menu for each of the non-ABAP systems in which you want to create and organize transport requests.

    • APPLICATION_TYPE: You can use this parameter to define the default SAP application type used when you attach objects to your transport request. If you always work with a certain application, setting this parameter stops you from having to select the application every time.

To determine the possible values, in Transport Organizer Web UI select the Object List tab page and then Attach for a transport request. You can use all SAP applications in the Application selection list as parameter values.

    • SOURCE: You can use this parameter to define the default file system (server or client) used when you attach objects to your transport request. If you always work with a certain file system, setting this parameter stops you from having to select the file system every time.

      Possible values:

      • Server: The Server file system is the default. You can still select Client using the radio buttons.

      • Server_only: You can only upload from a Server file system. You cannot select Client.

      • Client: The Client file system is the default. You can still select Server using the radio buttons.

      • Client_only: You can only upload from a Client file system. You cannot select Server.

  5. To start the Transport Organizer Web UI, select the favorite you just created in your favorites folder with a double-click.

Recommendation

Save the URL for Transport Organizer Web UI in your browser favorites as well. In this way, you are always able to start the UI from your browser. Your configured parameters appear as part of the URL and can also be changed there.
