 Executing Organizational Measures

Prerequisites

You have defined the required organizational measure , including processors.

Edit the tasks of a measure area

You are a processor in a measure area.

  1. Call up the workflow inbox in your system.

The workflow inbox contains the relevant work item. You can now choose one of the following options:

    • Execute the work item to reserve it and simultaneously navigate to the Case Management application. In this application, you can now display the assigned documents or execute one of the transactions assigned here, for example.

    • To reserve the work item, choose Reserve . To perform your tasks, you now have to navigate to the relevant application.

      Note Note

If a processor was determined on the basis of a position or organizational unit, and this processor reserves the work item, the work item is deleted from the workflow inbox of all other processors.

      End of the note.
  2. Exit the workflow inbox.

  3. Call up the relevant application for your task ( Structures Workbench transaction).

  4. Choose Measure and select the required organizational measure.

The tab pages permitted for the relevant measure type are now ready for input (green symbol).

If a force element is specified as the header force element, it is loaded automatically.

    Note Note

You can select a different organizational measure at any time by choosing Measure . Any changes made are not assigned to the current organizational measure until you choose Save .

    End of the note.

Alternatively, you can also call up a direct change .

  5. Switch to edit mode.

  6. Make the required changes.

All changes that you now make are made in the selected organizational measure.

Each change (change to an infotype or assignment) within an organizational measure is logged with reference to this organizational measure or corresponding measure area.

You can call up the change log by choosing Change Documents . You can also call the change documents in the C ase Management application (transaction SCASE) by choosing Change Documents (either for each measure area or for an entire organizational measure).

All changes to object properties and assignments are made in the Planned status. (Exception: Delimitations of assignments are changed directly in the status Active .)

  7. Once you have made your changes, you can end your work item in the workflow inbox and, if necessary, trigger a subsequent work item in compliance with the process route (for a processor who is to approve the measure area, for example).

Change the status of a measure area

You are authorized to change the status of a measure area.

  1. Call up the Case Management application (transaction SCASE).

  2. Select the required measure area.

    Note Note

If required, you can first simulate the status change by choosing Status Change . The system displays a corresponding log.

    End of the note.
  3. Once all processors in the measure area have completed their tasks, change the status of your measure area from In Process to Requested .

The system carries out the checks and follow-up actions defined for this status change.

Following successful completion of the checks, all data changes with the status Planned are set to Requested .

    Note Note

Once the status of the measure area is set to Requested , processors can no longer select this measure in the Structures Workbench transactions.

    End of the note.

If necessary, you can also change the status from In Process to Reset .

  4. You change the status of your measure area from Requested to Approved .

To do so, call up the Case Management application (transaction SCASE), select the measure area, and change the status to Approved .

The system carries out the checks and follow-up actions defined for this status change.

If all the checks are completed successfully, all data changes with the status Requested are set to Approved .

    Note Note

Individual measure areas can be approved independently of the entire organizational measure.

    End of the note.

If necessary, you can also reset the status from Requested to In Process (Resubmission) or Reset .

If no measure area is active in a given organizational measure, you can cancel the organizational measure.

  5. You change the status of your measure area from Approved to Active .

The system carries out the checks and follow-up actions defined for this status change.

If all the checks are completed successfully, all data changes with the status Approved are set to Active .

If necessary, you can also reset the status from Approved to In Process (Resubmission) or Reset .

If the status of a given measure area is Active , you can no longer reset its status to a different status.

Change the status of an organizational measure

  1. If the status of at least one measure area is Active , the system automatically sets the status of the organizational measure to Partially Active .

The organizational measure can no longer be canceled.

  2. If the status of all measure areas is Active , or if the status of at least one measure area is Active and the status of all inactive measure areas is Reset , the system automatically sets the status of the organizational measure to Active .

The organizational measure is then closed.
