 Training Data and Qualifications

Purpose

For certain activity profiles (for example, welders, pilots), the relevant persons are required to complete specific training activities as part of their training or regular activities to acquire or maintain the necessary level of qualification (for example, certain licenses).

You can use this process to create completed training activities from activities performed by persons. You can derive corresponding qualifications (object type Q) from this training data and assign them to the persons. This means that the current qualification level of the person is available in the system and it can be used for subsequent processes.

You have the option of creating training activities that persons have completed with any kind of maintenance order . In particular, within the Defense Forces & Public Security component, you can enter and edit training activities for flights .

Process Flow

Training data is created and qualifications derived in the following steps:

  1. The following options are available for creating training activities:

    • You can create the training activities of persons using flights . You then copy this training data to the personnel master data (infotype 0806). For more information, see Entering Training Activities Using Flights .

    • Alternatively, you can enter the training activities directly in infotype 0806. For more information, see Direct Recording of Training Activities .

      Training activities can be entered using flights in a centralized logistics system or in a decentralized system. The data can be stored in infotype 0806 in the centralized logistics system or in the centralized human resources system. For more information, see Scenarios .

  2. You derive qualifications for this training data in the human resources system and assign these qualifications to the persons. For more information, see Derivation of Qualifications from Training Data .
