 Scenarios

Use

You can use the Training Data and Qualifications process in various system landscapes. A distinction can be made between the relevant scenarios depending in which system the training data in infotype 0806 is stored.

Prerequisites

In Customizing under Start of the navigation path Defense Forces and Public Security Next navigation step Personnel Next navigation step Training Next navigation step Define RFC Destination End of the navigation path , you have defined the method that is to be used to update the data in infotype 0806.

  • Local Update

This method is possible if the training data is entered in the system for a flight in which infotype 0806 can be modified.

  • Update Using Remote Function Call (RFC)

If the training data for a flight is entered in a different system to the one in which infotype 0806 is updated, you must copy the data via RFC to the system in which infotype 0806 is to be updated.

You have familiarized yourself with the standard ALE scenario in Human Resources (report RHALEINI, transaction PFAL) for distributing HR data between a human resources system and a logistics system.

Features

The system supports the following scenarios:

  • Scenario 1: You execute human resources and logistics processes in one, centralized system. In this (rare) case, no distribution between systems is required. You perform all of the process steps in the central system.

In this case, you are not required to enter an RFC destination.

  • Scenario 2: You execute human resources and logistics processes in two separate, centralized systems.

    • You perform the steps Assigning Personnel and Training Programs and Entering and Approving Training Activities in the central logistics system.

    • Two variants exist for the step Copying Training Data (Infotype 0806) :

      • Variant A: Infotype 0806 can be modified in the logistics system

You copy the data created in the central logistics system to infotype 0806 and distribute it using the standard ALE scenario in Human Resources to the central human resources system. There, you derive and assign qualifications.

In this case, you are not required to enter an RFC destination.

Finally, the mini master (including infotype 0024 but excluding infotype 0806) must be redistributed from the human resources system to the logistics system using the standard ALE scenario.

      • Variant B: Personnel data can be modified in the human resources system only

You first distribute the entered data to the central human resources system. There, you copy the data to infotype 0806 and derive and assign qualifications.

In this case, you must name the receiving human resources system as the RFC destination in the issuing system.

Finally, the mini master (including infotypes 0024 and 0806) must be redistributed from the human resources system to the logistics system using the standard ALE scenario.

  • Scenario 3: At the central level, you are using one single system or two separate systems for human resources and logistics (see scenario 1 or 2), as well as additional, decentralized ERP systems for logistics processes.

    • You create training activities in the decentralized logistics system.

    • The system distributes this data to the centralized logistics system by redistributing maintenance data.

    • Depending on your system landscape, you can now update infotype 0806 in accordance with scenario 1 or 2.
