Maximum Contingent Size The maximum number of positions per contingent that are allowed to be planned in contingent planning for an operational/exercise force element, including all of the lower-level force elements.
During contingent planning , the personnel upper limit specified for a contingent can be allocated to the force elements assigned to this contingent. Starting from the force element that represents the operation or exercise ( infotype 1956 ) down to the force elements at the lowest hierarchy level of the operational structure or exercise target, you can distribute the maximum permitted number of positions specified for each hierarchy level to the force elements at the next lowest level.
When you plan contingents for the force element, you can use the Contingent Planning tab page to perform detailed planning for the positions that are not distributed to the force elements at the next lowest level.
The following fields are available in the
Structures Workbench
on the
Max. Contingent Size
tab page:
Displayed Period
The period of the contingent selected in the
Operation Contingent
field.
Operation Contingent
The selected contingent.
Note
The formations defined for this operation or exercise in Customizing are available for selection here.
Planning Type
A selected planning session that belongs to the selected contingent. Only one of the planning sessions available can be indicated as current, and therefore edited, at any one time.
Note
The planning types defined for this operation or exercise in Customizing are available for selection here.
Read Current Required Positions
This states whether the values for the
Current Positions
field are to be determined and shown in the table displayed.
Aggregated Display
This states whether the values for the fields
Contingent Planning
(number of positions already planned for the selected force element for the selected planning type) and
Current Positions
are to be shown aggregated in the table displayed. During aggregation, the system totals the values of the currently selected force element and the corresponding values of the lower-level force elements; otherwise the system displays only the values of the currently selected force element.
In the table displayed, the following values are displayed or entered:
