Implementing Contingent Planning You are in the
Personnel Organizational Basis
application (transaction /ISDFPS/TOEP1). You may have to select an
organizational measure
before you can process assignments.
Load the required force element and choose the
Contingent Planning
tab page.
Select the required contingent and the required planning session.
The maximum contingent size defined for the selected force element is displayed.
Specify how many positions with which job description you want to plan for the selected force element.
To do so, enter the number of positions
without
a job description under
Others
.
To select a
job description
, choose
Add Job to Plan
. For the selected job, enter how many positions you want to plan.
If required, you can remove a job from the table by choosing
Delete Job from Plan
.
Save your data.
You can now convert this plan to planned positions. To do so, choose the
Generate Contingent Planning
pushbutton.
You can now use report /ISDFPS/HROM_POS_GENERATOR to generate the positions intended for this force element.
Choose the
Create New Positions
for the relevant row with the generation status
Planning Available
.
The generated positions are indicated by the
generation successful
status.
The positions are created with the status
Planned
.
You can also run the report directly with transaction /ISDFPS/POS_GEN.
You can change existing plans as follows:
If you carry out planning for a job for which a lower number of positions has already been generated, the existing number is increased to the new number the next time you generate the positions.
If you carry out planning for a job for which a
higher
number of positions has already been generated, the next time you generate the positions the system outputs the message
Generation complete; reduction required
and prompts you to set the status of one or more existing positions to
obsolete
. To do so, choose the
Execute Reduction
function and select the relevant positions. Choose
Save
to confirm your selections.
A success message is displayed once the required reduction has been carried out.
When you choose the
Generate Contingent Planning
function on the
Maximum Contingent Size
tab page, you can generate the planned positions for subordinate force elements in addition to the positions for the selected force element.
