Contingent Planning

Definition

Contingent plans are created for an operational/exercise force element.

Use

To plan the required number of positions in contingent planning , you use the number of positions that are defined for a force element per contingent as a result of the distribution of the maximum contingent size , and that have not been further distributed to lower-level force elements. You can:

Select one or more job descriptions (object type job ) and for each job plan how many positions you want to plan as the description of this job
Plan a number of positions without job descriptions, without selecting a job

Structure

The following fields are available in the Structures Workbench on the Contingent Planning tab page:

Displayed Period

The period of the contingent selected in the Operation Contingent field.
Operation Contingent

The selected contingent.

Planning Type

A selected planning session that belongs to the selected contingent. Only one of the planning sessions available can be indicated as current, and therefore edited, at any one time.

In the table displayed on this tab page, the following values can be displayed or entered:

0	Own contingent	Contingent Planning	Number of positions that can be planned for the force element for the selected planning type (maximum contingent size, minus the positions distributed to lower-level force elements)
	Other	Current positions	Number of positions without a job description that the selected force element already has
	Other	Contingent Planning	Number of positions without a job description that are planned for the selected force element
	<a selected job>	Current positions	Number of positions with the selected job description that the selected force element already has
	<the selected job>	Contingent Planning	Number of positions with the selected job description that are planned for the force element for the selected planning type
	Total	Current positions	Total of all of the positions that the selected force element already has
	Total	Contingent Planning	Total of all of the planned positions
