Definition

The planning of material equipment with non-consumable goods (authorized materials) that a position requires in order to perform its tasks/missions.

Use

Similarly to the authorized materials for a force element (see Material Planning Objects/Material Containers ), you can also use the assignment of material planning objects or material containers to display the authorized materials for a position. See Assigning Material and Infrastructure Objects .

For the authorized/actual comparison and material planning , these authorized materials are treated as part of the authorized materials of the higher-level force element, and evaluated accordingly.

The actual materials (stock) that are compared with the authorized materials of a position are held in stock at the storage location of the higher-level force element.

The material that corresponds to the authorized materials of positions can be included in the equipment of persons with material (functional equipment).

Structure

The Material Planning Objects and the Material Container tab pages are available in the Structures Workbench . The fields correspond to the force element tab pages of the same name.

In addition, the Job field displays whether a position has inherited its definition of the authorized materials from one of the jobs assigned to it.

Depending on the system setting, the Material Category field is available. For more information, see the Functions for the Equipment of Persons with Material section.
