Use

You can assign material to a person in order to map the direct provision of material (actual material).

Integration

The assignment of material to a person is stored in infotype 0800 (material assignment) .

A person can to some extent be provided with material with reference to the authorized or actual material for the position the person occupies or for the higher-level force element.

Features

You can assign material to a person in one of two ways:

Functional equipment

You assign the person usage-type-specific material that comes from stock or from the position the person occupies, and/or the higher-level force element. The available material is identified by means of the assigned material planning objects (MPOs).

Personnel equipment

You assign the person personnel material that comes from a central storage location.

You define central storage locations in Customizing by choosing Defense Forces and Public Security → Materials Management → Equipment of Persons → Define Central Storage Locations

From the view of the person, the additional information is stored in infotype 0800.

The assigned material is posted to project stock in the form of a WBS element (standard goods movement action) and at the same time is managed as special stock in the original storage location.

You define project stocks in Customizing by choosing Defense Forces and Public Security → Materials Management → Equipment of Persons → Define Project Stock

You define the actions, the type of material movement, and the special stock indicators used in Customizing by choosing Defense Forces and Public Security → Materials Management → Equipment of Persons → Material Movement Types per Action

You make the assignment between person and material using the Report: Material Assignment .
