Controlling the ATP Check in the Sales Order
These functions for service parts management allow you to control, in the sales order, how the availability check is executed in SAP APO.
In addition to SAP CRM, the following minimum system requirements apply:
SAP SCM 5.0
SAP ECC 6.0
The system configuration for service parts management has been activated. You can find more information on this in the SAP Implementation Guide (IMG) under .
You can control the availability check in the sales order by inputting certain field values that are then transferred to SAP APO.
For example, if you do not have enough stock available, you can specify for a rush order that you need to fulfill the requirement from the safety stock.

You can control how SAP APO should pass the results of the availability check back to the sales order in case the results of the availability check are such that the confirmed delivery date is later than requested, or the confirmed quantity is less than requested. | |
You can control whether the confirmed delivery dates and quantities can be accepted or not. You can also let the system cancel the item, if the ATP check cannot confirm it fully (fill or cancel). | |
You can access safety stock for emergency orders. | |
You can provide additional criteria for rule determination in the rules-based availability check. | |
You can control whether SAP APO can round the confirmed quantity during the availability check. | |
You can make settings to send sales order items to a consolidation location before they are shipped to the customer. | |
You can choose to perform the availability check at a later point, instead of immediately. | |
You can assign the confirmations of orders with lower priority to an order with higher priority. |
