Reassignment of Order Confirmations
Reassignment of order confirmation allows you to reassign confirmed quantities of items with low priority to items with high priority.
Reassignment of order confirmations takes place in SAP APO and is part of Global Available-to-Promise (Global ATP). It uses rules-based availability check (RBA) and the condition technique.
In addition to SAP CRM, the following minimum system requirements apply:
SAP SCM 5.0
SAP ECC 6.0
The system configuration for service parts management is active. For further information, see the Customizing under
You have set up this function in SAP SCM. For further information on prerequisites in SAP SCM and features, see the SAP Library for SAP Supply Chain Management under .
When you create a sales order, the availability check in SAP APO may be unable to confirm a sales order item for the requested delivery date. If this sales order has high priority, you can use reassignment of order confirmations to reassign the confirmed quantities of items with low priority to items with high priority. This may help you to increase confirmed quantities and fulfill particular sales order items. The order confirmations are reassigned by SAP APO.
There are two ways of starting reassignment of order confirmations:
Without using the Reassign Conf.
indicator
You can freely define the conditions under which the system starts reassignment of order confirmations irrespective of whether this indicator is set or not. You define these conditions in Customizing for rules-based ATP in SAP SCM (component SAP APO).
Using the Reassign Conf.
indicator
The indicator Reassign Conf.
is
found at header level in the sales order in SAP CRM. If you want the system
to start reassignment of order confirmations for a sales order if this indicator
is set, you need to set up Customizing in SAP SCM under as follows:
In the IMG activity Define Condition Table
under Maintain
Field Catalog (Usage "0")
, you have to create a condition
field named FORCE_ROC. This condition field must be
used in a condition table.
You then must customize rules-based availability check in such
a way that when SAP APO performs the rules-based availability check using
the field FORCE_ROC, it finds a rule in which the indicator Activate
Reassignment of Order Confirmations
is set.
For detailed information on rules-based availability check, see Rules-Based Availability Check as well as the SAP Library for SAP Supply Chain Management under .
Note
When SAP APO has carried out the availability check and returned the results to SAP CRM, you cannot tell in SAP CRM in the sales order whether a reassignment has taken place or not. To check whether reassignment has taken place, you need to display the results of the availability check.
