Definition

Infotype that controls follow-up processing. Follow-up processing includes sub-processes such as:

Use

The Follow-Up Control Options infotype enables you to steer how follow-up processing is performed for courses and participants. The training administrator creates the infotype for each course type or curriculum type and courses.

Structure

You can specify the following in the Follow-Up Control Options infotype:

     Access

You specify where a follow-up step is performed:

     Learning Portal

For example, the learner confirms participation in the Learning Portal.

     Back-end system (Training Management)

For example, the training administrator follows courses up in the back end.

     System

The relevant process step is performed automatically by the system if the previous process step was already performed by the system. For example, when the learner triggers the process step Confirm Participation in the Learning Portal, the process step Rate Participation runs automatically in the back-end system. The following steps are available:

      Rate participation

The previous step is Confirm Participation.

Follow up participation (no proficiency change)

The previous step is Rate Participation. The system automatically transfers the qualifications once the learner confirms his or her participation in the learning portal.

      Delimit Participation (Time-Independent)

The previous step is Confirm Participation. The training administrator has the following options for denying learners access to a time-independent course:

...

In the participation menu: In the context menu of the course, choose Revoke Access Authorization. This manually revokes a learner's access to a time-independent course.

If the Delimit Participation (Time-Independent) process step is active, the system automatically prevents all learners from accessing the time-dependent course (such as a WBT course).

The system assigns the possible process steps to the entry selected. For example, you select Learning Portal, and under Process you can select the steps Confirm Participation or Rate Participation.

     Process

You specify for which process step follow-up is performed: For example:

     Confirm participation

     Rate participation

If the Participation followed up indicator is set, you have the following options for following up:

Follow up participation (no proficiency change)

During follow-up processing, the training administrator or person responsible is not permitted to change the proficiency of the qualifications.  The system transfers the qualifications according to the Procedure infotype (1030) and follows up the course participation.

Follow up participation (with proficiency change)

During follow-up processing, the training administrator or person responsible is permitted to change the proficiency of the qualifications.  The system transfers the qualifications according to the Procedure infotype (1030) and follows up the course participation.

Follow up pass result (no proficiency change)

You can follow up the pass result (without a change in the proficiency) if the Rate Participation step is passed. The system transfers the qualifications according to the Procedure infotype (1030) and follows up the course participation.

Follow up pass result (with proficiency change)

You can follow up the pass result (with a change in the proficiency) if the Rate Participation step is passed. The system transfers the qualifications according to the Procedure infotype (1030) and follows up the course participation.

Note

The system allows you to select only one option to follow up participation.

     Delimit participation (time-independents)

This prevents the learner from re-accessing the Web-based training course in the learning portal.
