In a chart element you define the data source and the display properties of the corresponding graph type. A chart element contains all information, except for the patient-related specifications, for loading and controlling the output of the data in a graph.

Templates are available for each graph type.

The name of these templates starts with the special character "_". The templates are valid across clients.

You can create chart elements for all graph types.

When you create chart elements, the system determines which graph types you can use from the data source. In order to display a chart element in Smart Chart, assign the chart element to a chart layout.
