Function documentationMedication Orders

The Orders User Interface Building Block (UIBB) displays all medication orders which are valid in the selected time period.

Prerequisites

In the configuration of the patient profile you have assigned the Orders UIBB to the user or to the role of the user.

You can find information on this in the implementation guide under Start of the navigation path SAP Healthcare - Industry-Specific Component Clinical System Next navigation step Smart UI Next navigation step Patient Profile Next navigation step Assign Configuration to Users/Roles End of the navigation path.

As standard the system will sort the medication orders in descending order according to their start date. You can change this sorting in the UIBB settings. You can also determine additional fields as selection criteria, for example, order purpose and administration route.

Features

In the toolbar of the UIBB you can use Create (Create) to create a new order and further process this in the order dialog in the dynpro. You can find information on this under Order Entry and Management and the following specific topics:

The following information is available in the columns of the Orders UIBB:

  • Details

You can use the More (More) hotspot in this column to branch to the detailed order information, such as, for example, the following information:

    • Dose definition

    • Dose unit

    • Cycle description

    • Further data such as the administration route or the flow rate, if these are important for understanding the dose

If a sliding dose is used in the order, the system only displays the description of the cycle which was configured for the sliding dose, see System Parameters for Medication. Otherwise the system displays the simplified dose definition, see Simplified Dose Definition.

  • Usage

In this column the system uses the following icons to display the purpose of the order:

    • Administration (Administration)

    • Dispensing (Dispensing)

    • Print Prescription (Print Prescription)
