Latest Starting DateThe Latest Starting Date (LSD) is the latest time by which a resource must have commenced a task in order to finish it by the task due date.
The LSD is calculated at task creation as follows:
LSD = Task due date – Duration
Duration includes both the task duration and the rest of trip duration .
Task duration is the time needed to get from the source to the proposed destination of the task.
Rest of trip duration is the time needed to get from the proposed destination of the task to the final destination of the originating reference document.
The task due date is taken from the host while the duration is calculated by
TRM,
which takes into account the following:
Velocity
The lowest of all the resource type velocities
Route distance
Duration of the operation in the work center (if any)
The LSD affects the total priority of a task at task selection by influencing the following priority entities:
The LSD priority , which increases linearly from 0 to 99 during the Critical Time Window (CTW)
The synchronization priority . For more information, see Task Synchronization .
Note
For information on defining the CTW, see the IMG for s.
