Editing Price Catalogs (Enhanced)
You can use this function to process incoming GDSN messages or EANCOM PRICAT messages, change or add data, post it in the system, and initiate the correction of transfer errors. You can also call up error recording.
You have decided to use transaction W_PRICAT_MAINTAIN, instead of transaction PRICAT. For more information, see Price Catalog Inbound Processing.
You can use the function Select and Edit Price Catalog
(transaction W_SYNC) to select catalogs using detailed selection criteria, and also restrict the selection to the catalogs of your workflows. For more information, see Catalog Selection for Editing and
GDS Workflow. After selecting the catalogs, you go to this function for price catalog editing.
Selection
Use transaction W10T to call the special initial menu for the retailing system.
Choose (transaction W_PRICAT_MAINTAIN).
Enter a purchasing group and profile, or just a profile.
Choose
with tooltip Execute
.
The screen Price Catalog - Selection (Item)
appears.
Here you can further restrict the selection of price catalog items. You can also use
to select a variant.

. You see the actual processing window, with the catalog items listed.
Editing price catalogs (main steps)
You see the list of catalog items. The white fields are ready for input.
If necessary, edit the catalog items.
Select the lines that you want to transfer.
If you want to temporarily save the data (without transfer), select
with tooltip Save
.
When you want to save and transfer the data, choose
Create/Change
or (execution with batch run).
During the transfer, the system executes the following functions:
It creates or changes article data (single articles or generic articles, as well as bills of material)
It posts the purchase prices and sales prices to the tables selected in Customizing
It creates or changes purchasing data
Note
There is a limited scope to how you can change generic articles. The same restrictions apply as with manual article changes.
