Service Scale - Prepacking Scale
OmniScale Prepackaging is used to print labels for pre-packed items.
It is possible to configure a separate Prepackaging Scale or to switch from a Service Scale to a Prepackaging Scale and back.
The functional scope of a separate Prepackaging Scale is similar to that of the Service Scale. The main difference is that the Prepackaging Scale features some additional registration functions but omits the receipt functions as they are not relevant for prepackaging. It is also not possible to log operators in or out during prepackaging.
Register Items Piece by Piece
Items can be registered separately, piece by piece:
- Register an item as described in the chapter Entry Functions.
- Put the item on the scale and register its weight.
- Press Print. The Prepackaging Scale prints a label for the packaged item.
- Put the same item with a different weight on the scale. The item is already preselected so you do not have to register it again.
- Press Print. The Prepackaging Scale prints a label for the packaged item.
- Repeat this as often as required.
Register Items in Automatic Mode
The automatic mode allows you to quick-print labels:
- Register an item as described in the chapter Entry Functions.
- Start Automatic Mode.
- Put weight on the scale.
- A label is printed.
- Put the next weight of the same item on the scale. The item is already preselected so you do not have to register it again.
- A label is printed.
- Repeat this as often as required.
- Leave the automatic mode using the cancel button in the waiting dialog.
Change Date
Normally, you will use the current date as the prepackaging date. However, you may sometimes need to set the prepackaging date to a date in the past:
- Register an item as described in the chapter Entry Functions.
- Change the Prepackaging Date for the item. After a verification process to ensure that the item's best before date has not expired, the new prepackaging date is used.
- Print a label with the altered date.
- Enter a new item. The date is reset and the current date is used as prepackaging date again.
