The take away mode is a POS Client mode that allows the POS Client to be operated on a scale. The take away mode allows items to be entered and weighed, and for the items to be paid for directly on the scale.

POS Functions

The complete POS functionality is available in the take away mode.

This document describes the functions of the take away mode. Other POS Client functions are only considered where the POS Client take away mode differs from the standard POS Client functions.

Other Functions

The following additional functions are supported in the take away mode:


Function	Description
Multi-user Capability	Several users can be simultaneously logged in on the POS Client. For further information, refer to the section Take Away - User Functions.
Receipt floating	Several POS Clients can be merged into one cash register group. When an operator logs in to a POS, they are automatically logged in to the cash register group as well. Therefore, it is possible to start item entry on one POS Client and proceed on another. This process is referred to as receipt floating. For further information, refer to the section Take Away - Entry Functions.
Tare	The POS Client provides a range of functions for entering the tare weight. For further information, refer to the section Take Away - Entry Functions.
