Term Explanation
Activation You can activate your operator on every POS Client of a cash register group by pressing the operator button if are logged on to the cash register group.
Operator An operator is a salesperson who operates a technical device, such as a scale.
Operator Screen The Operator Screen includes an overview of all the operators who have logged on to a cash register (POS Client). From this screen, you can log out your operator for an operator break or log out of the POS Client completely.
Operator break The operator break is used to log out of the POS Client temporarily. Other operators will still be able to work on the POS Client during the break.
Receipt floating Receipt floating means that you start a selling process on a cash register and proceed or complete it on another cash register. The prerequisite for this is that the respective cash registers belong to the same cash register group.
Entry Screen The Entry Screen allows quick access to the most important item entry functions and a range of other POS functions.
Cash register group A cash register group is a group of several cash registers (POS Clients). When you log on to a POS Client that is online, you are logged on to the whole cash register group.
Offline When the POS Client is started, an attempt is made to establish a connection between the POS Client and the other GK/Retail Omnichannel POS applications. If the connection attempt fails, the POS Client will be offline after starting. The POS Client cannot be logged on to the cash register group in this mode. Receipt floating is therefore not possible in this case.
Online If the connection attempt is successful during POS Client start, the POS Client will be online.
System user The system user is a technical user who operates the POS Client. The system user is logged in either automatically or manually, depending on the configuration. After the system user logs in successfully, the POS Client is ready for operation.
Tare The term Tare refers to the weight of the packaging materials of items that cannot be weighed without packaging.
Payment Screen The Payment Screen appears after you have completed item entry. You will be able to make payment here using various tender types.
