What's New
App Enablement - Handling of In-App Events
As already known and available, App Enablement allows the integration and calling of another application. In this context, it was not always guaranteed that all interactions between the app and POS were handled correctly. This extension now ensures that all events and states are exchanged correctly and processed properly. Especially in the event of unforeseen exceptions, such as errors or long waiting times, the cash register now reacts appropriately and therefore offers the operator the opportunity to react to them.
Generalize RFID API and Deprecate Detego-Specific API
Our existing vendor-specific RFID solution was extended by a generic - vendor-independent plugin, which provides the possibility of integration with any RFID vendor. The generic solution does not contain vendor-specific naming.
OmniScale - Item Recognition by Camera
The integration of item recognition by camera was added to the current OmniScale solution. The recognition process is provided by an external company, which communicates with the OmniScale via a GK API. The item recognition process benefits customers and sellers because items are recognized automatically and the system provides proposals of the goods sorted via configurable parameters. These proposals speed up the process and reduce mistakes.
