The applicants in question have been assigned vacancies as a result of the Personnel Screening process.
Carry out applicant action

The standard system automatically creates the applicant activities

which you can use to specify an interview date. When you carry out the applicant activity
Interview inv.
, you call up the relevant applicant letter. This letter informs the applicant of the interview date.
Hold the interview and put the applicant through the remainder of the selection procedure as decided by your company. The personal impression made by the applicant is a very important factor in this part of the selection procedure.
The system supports you in the decision-making process. In addition to the interview and your company’s other selection methods of choice, you can call up the following in the system to help you reach a selection decision:
Short profile
The short profile provides summarized information on the applicant.
Application documents
You can also view the application documents to support your decision. If SAP ArchiveLink has been implemented and the documents have been scanned in, you can quickly access the documents.
Using the
Administration of Applicant Procedure
, you can record the administrative steps through which an applicant must pass in the selection procedure. For example, you can record the outcome of a selection procedure in the system by giving the applicant that you want to hire the overall status
Contract offered
. You can assign the status
On hold
or
Rejected
to applicants that you do not want to hire.
Personnel selection results in one of the following situations:
You decide to offer an applicant a contract. You can proceed with Processing Offer of Work Contract .
The applicant is put on hold for the vacancy. You can now continue with Putting an Applicant on Hold
The applicant is rejected for the vacancy. You can now continue with Rejecting an Applicant .
Note
The selection procedure for particular vacancies can also be performed in
Manager’s Desktop.
Line managers can use this component to access the functions described above, and can request that further administrative steps are carried out for applicants. An automatic e-mail connection informs the HR department of the administrative tasks that they must carry out. For more information, see
