Putting an Applicant on Hold

Purpose

An applicant is put on hold if he or she seems to be suitable for your company but at the moment, you do not have any suitable vacant positions for him or her. By putting the applicant on hold, you can keep the applicant available in the system for future vacancies. The system enables you to send suitable correspondence to applicants who have been put on hold.

Prerequisites

You do not have any suitable vacancy for the applicant at the moment in your company. The applicant is, however, based on his or her qualifications, suitable for the company as a whole.

Process Flow

1. Carry out applicant action Put applicant on hold.

This applicant action changes the applicant’s overall status to On hold and the follow-up activity On hold is created. The system records the fact that the applicant has been put on hold. When you execute the applicant activity On hold , you have the option of calling up the relevant text for applicant correspondence in the system. You can thereby notify the applicant that his or her application has been put on hold.

  1. Pass this letter of notification on to the applicant through the appropriate channel.

Result

You have put the applicant on hold and created or completed the appropriate applicant letter. The applicant is available to fill vacant positions in the future. You can further process applicants who have been put on hold using Applicant Pool Administration
