Rejection of an Applicant

Purpose

You reject an applicant if he or she is neither suitable for the advertised vacancy nor any other vacancy that may arise in your company. In this process, you can also complete the necessary correspondence to the applicant, that is, you can create the rejection letter.

Prerequisites

You have completed the Personnel Screening and Personnel Selection processes. The applicant does not fulfill the requirements for the vacancy or for your company or is less suited than other applicants.

Process

  1. Carry out applicant action Reject applicant.

This applicant action changes the applicant’s overall status to Rejected and the follow-up activity Rejection is created. This applicant’s rejection is recorded in the system. If you carry out the applicant activity Rejection , you can create a letter of rejection.

  1. Send a letter of rejection to the applicant.

Result

You have limited the number of applicants for a vacancy or to your company by rejecting some applicants. You can either delete a rejected applicant’s data or store it in the system. For more information on deleting applicant information, see Delete Applicant .
