Translation Performance Monitor for CoordinatorsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Transaction Translation Performance Monitor (TPMO) enables you to monitor translation performance. It displays information on activities performed in the short text editor in transaction Initial Screen: Translation Editor (SE63). Information is not displayed on activities performed in the proposal pool during translation in the short text editor, or while maintaining the proposal pool directly in transaction Proposal Pool (SLPP).

Note

To ensure that their TPMO data is recorded, translators must always choose Save Save before leaving the short text editor after translating new and modified lines.

TPMO data can only be used to monitor short text translation output, not the quality of the translations entered in the short text editor or proposal pool.

Translators can monitor their own performance. As a coordinator, you can use transaction TPMO to monitor the overall short text workload processed during a translation project by one or more target languages. You can display data on translation performance according to a wide range of criteria.

Example

Your translation project started on July 10 2015, and ended on November 28 2015. All French texts were created by translators at an external agency who were all assigned to translator group FL. Using the translation performance monitor, you can see that the translators in translator group FL processed 11,032 short text lines during this period. Furthermore, you can display more detailed information on how exactly the lines were processed. For example, you can see how many of the French texts were created by translators copying an existing best proposal, as opposed to those lines for which the translators had to create a best proposal as well as a translation.

Prerequisites

Before you or the translators can use the translation performance monitor, you must schedule translation performance datasets so that they are created regularly.

Features

The system records translation performance data at regular intervals.

You can display translation performance data at any time according to different criteria.
