 Inform Systems of System Switch

Use

The system uses this function to ensure that information about the system switch of a force element not only exists in the current and new operational systems, but also in all other relevant systems in your system landscape that are not directly involved in the switching process. If you are using a central XI system , this system is also informed.

Prerequisites

You have familiarized yourself with the operational system property.

Features

The systems in your system landscape are informed of a system switch using the following mechanisms:

  1. If you are using a central XI system: Once the IDoc triggered by the workflow to complete the preparatory measures (cross-system command: /ISDFPS/CS_COMMANDEX) has been imported in the new operation system, this system sends an IDoc (message type /ISDFPS/SL) to the central XI system to inform it of the switching force element using the new operational system. This information is stored in the XI system in a mapping table for controlling dynamic receiver determination .

  2. If the central system is neither the current nor the new operational system: The new operational system uses the workflow for completing the system switch to send an additional IDoc (cross-system command: /ISDFPS/CS_COMMANDEX) to the central system to inform it that the system switch is complete. The system updates the data in table /ISDFPS/FORLOSYS here.

  3. If you are using additional decentralized systems: The system uses regular distribution to distribute the current data from table /ISDFPS/FORLOSYS in the central system to all the relevant decentralized systems in your system landscape.
