 Stationing (Infotype 1952)

Definition

Information about the location and address of force elements.

Use

You enter detailed location information for a force element. These addresses are used for procurement and transport processes, or for mailing purposes, for example. The operational location of a force element may change as a result of organizational changes or task organizations.

Location information/addresses are always stored in Business Address Services (BAS). As part of stationing, addresses from these allowed values can be assigned to a force element.

See also Address Creation and Assignment .

Structure

The following fields/field groups are available in the Structures Workbench on the Stationing tab page:

  • Planning Status

The status of the underlying infotype record.

  • Subtype

    Specifies the address type.

When a new storage location or shipping point is created, the related address is automatically copied from the Delivery Address subtype.

Use the Temporary Address subtype for operation contingents.

To specify the longitude, latitude, and altitude as the location instead of address data, use the Geolocation subtype.

You define subtypes in Customizing by choosing Start of the navigation path Personnel Management Next navigation step Organizational Management Next navigation step Basic Settings Next navigation step Data Model Enhancement Next navigation step Infotype Maintenance Next navigation step Maintain Subtypes End of the navigation path .

  • Address , Address Number field

The number of an address in BAS.

The following data is displayed for this address number: Name , Street , Postal Code , House Number , and City . To display all additional address details, choose the Detail pushbutton.

You can use the relevant pushbutton to change an existing address, create a new address (using a template, if necessary), or specify an address inheritance.

  • Coordinates and Location Code

Using the Geolocation subtype, you can specify the coordinates (longitude, latitude, and altitude) or a location code as a location, either independent of an address or for an existing address.

    Note Note

This data then applies to all objects that use this address number.

    End of the note.

The data entry format provided is equivalent to the World Geodetic System 1984 (WGS84) coordinate system. On the BAdI screen /ISDFPS/BADI_GEOLOC, however, you can change the user interface and the conversion rule to store the entered data to the database according to your requirements.

For more information, see Customizing under Start of the navigation path Defense Forces& Public Security Next navigation step Organizational Flexibility Next navigation step Force Element Next navigation step BAdI: Geolocation End of the navigation path .

  • Where-Used List for Address

All force elements and business entities to which this address is assigned.

  • For Planned Operation , see Delimitation/Deletion with Status Change .

Integration

Force elements can inherit addresses from business entities .

The addresses are stored in BAS (table ADRC). Information about stationing (that is, assignments between the address and force element) is stored in infotype 1952 (component specific). Geolocation data created as an address affix and not as a subtype, is stored in table GEOLOC.
