 Report: Move Operation/Exercise Structures

Use

You can use this report to shift an operation or exercise to an earlier or later time (including the relevant contingents and the subordinate structure consisting of force elements, positions, and staff assignment proposals).

Integration

The following dependent data is not shifted with this report:

  • Assignments to material objects

You can shift these assignments using report Mass Changes: Move Assignments .

    Recommendation Recommendation

To ensure that data remains consistent, you should shift assignments to material objects after the operational structure/exercise target has been activated.

    End of the recommendation.
  • Task organizations and support relationships

You can shift these assignments using report Mass Changes: Move Relationships .

    Recommendation Recommendation

To ensure that data remains consistent, you should shift assignments to material objects after the operational structure/exercise target has been activated.

    End of the recommendation.
  • All additional dependent data

All additional dependent data (for example, authorized personnel or material) cannot be shifted using a report. If necessary, this data must be adjusted manually.

Prerequisites

You are familiar with infotype 1956 .

Features

This report shifts the operational/exercise period (not the object period) of an operation or exercise (including the contingents it contains and the dependent relationships with contingent assignments) by the number of days you specify.

The report provides the following selection and processing parameters :

  • Operation/Exercise

Specify the required operation or exercise.

  • Shifted Time Period

You specify the number of days by which you want to shift the operational/exercise period. You shift the period to a later date by entering a positive integer (for example, 5 ), and an earlier date by entering a negative integer (for example, ‑ 5 ).

  • Test Run

Specify whether you want to simulate the shift only (without changing the data).

The shift follows the following rules:

  • You can shift the operational/exercise period only within the object period of the operation or exercise.

    Note Note

You can also use the Business Add-In /ISDFPS/SHIFT_OPEX_CHECK_CUST to define your own checks for the permissibility of shifts. For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) under Start of the navigation path Defense Forces& Public Security Next navigation step Organizational Flexibility Next navigation step Command and Support Relationships Next navigation step BAdI: Shift Operational Structures/Exercise Targets End of the navigation path .

    End of the note.
  • Subordinate relationships with contingent assignments are provided with appropriate new periods of time (depending on the higher-level object). The system adjusts the assignment periods to match the validity of the related object, that is, they are decreased or deleted.

  • The system ensures that changes to infotypes 1956 and 1985 that were carried out before the shift but have not yet been activated are taken into account during the shift so that changes not yet activated are not lost.

The system displays these changes in a log for both simulations and actual data changes. Automatic adjustments are reported in warning messages.

The records created through the shift for infotypes 1956 and 1985 of the shifted objects receive Planned status.

You can also use the Business Add-In /ISDFPS/SHIFT_OPEX_ACTION_CUST to define follow-up actions that are to be triggered after the shift.

Activities

  1. Start the Shift Operational Structures/Exercise Targets application (transaction /ISDFPS/SHIFT_OPEX).

  2. Select the required organizational measure if necessary.

  3. Enter the required values.

  4. Choose Execute.
