 Stock/Provisions

Definition

The assignments of a force element to plants, storage locations, and MRP areas, as well as the display of stock (non-consumable goods) and provisions (individual/bulk consumable goods) managed at these locations.

Use

You assign a force element to levels in the logistics structure in order to include the force element in materials management processes and to manage force element stocks and provisions at the storage locations.

Structure

The following assignment options are available in the Structures Workbench on the Stock/Provisions tab page:

  • You use the stock element for inventory management of non-consumable goods.

  • You use the provision element for provisions management of individual and bulk consumable goods.

  • You use the infrastructure element for inventory management of infrastructure material.

You can also create the necessary material master data for a force element. Also see Creation of Material Master Data .

MRP Areas

The following additional applications are available for editing MRP areas:

  • Create MRP Area (transaction /ISDFPS/BERID_ANLE)

  • Change MRP Area (transaction /ISDFPS/BERID_AEND)

  • Display MRP Area (transaction /ISDFPS/BERID_ANZE)

  • Delete MRP Area (transaction /ISDFPS/BERID_DELE)

  • Selection of MRP Area for Specified Storage Location (transaction /ISDFPS/BERID_GET)

Automatic Shipping Point Determination

A Business Add-In is provided to automatically determine the shipping point when you create new storage locations.
