Checks and Follow-Up Actions for Status Change If you change the status of a force element in the
Structures Workbench
, checks and follow-up actions are triggered for materials management.
In Customizing, you have set up the required checks and follow-up actions. For more information, see Checks for Status Change and Follow-up Actions After Status Change .
The following checks and follow-up actions are available for materials management:
The following checks are available for materials management:
Logistical requirements check (class /ISDFPS/CL_MM_CHECK_VPA_SE)
Checks whether the
Stockholding by Supplier
indicator is set for all the provisions packages (PPAs) of a force element without a provisions MRP area. This ensures that the dataset is consistent. If this indicator is not set, the system displays an error message.
The check is triggered if:
The status of the force element changes from
Planned
to
Requested
MRP areas can be created on the
Stock/Provisions
tab page only if the force element has the status
Planned
.
The status of the assignment of PPAs changes from
Approved
to
Active
:
Once the force element has been activated, additional PPAs can be assigned. The status must be consistent, at the very latest when the PPAs are activated.
Checks for the settings on the Stocks/Provisions tab page (classes /ISDFPS/CL_STACHG_MM_CHECK_I, /ISDFPS/CL_STACHG_MM_CHECK_W, and /ISDFPS/CL_STACHG_MM_CHECK_E)
The check is triggered when the status of a force element changes from
Planned
to
Requested
, since changes can be made on the
Stock/Provisions
tab page only if the status of the force element is
Planned
.
All the checks whose results are output as information messages are listed here. Accordingly, the messages are configured as information messages.
Checks with subsequent information messages :
If the
Accountable
indicator is set, the system checks whether the plant and storage location are specified for the stock area.
Checks with subsequent warning messages :
If the
Stockholding
indicator is set and an MRP area is specified for the provisions element, the system checks whether the purchasing organization and purchasing group are specified.
The
Accountable
indicator is set, the plant and MRP area are specified in the
Stock Element
area, but the stock storage location is not specified.
Checks with subsequent error messages :
If the
Accountable
indicator is set, the system checks whether:
The stock plant, stock storage location, and stock MRP area are specified
The stock storage location belongs to the stock MRP area if the plant, storage location, and MRP area are specified in the
Stock Element
area
If the
Accountable
indicator is not set, the system carries out checks for the stock element to establish whether:
Only the plant is specified in the
Stock Element
area, but no stock storage location is specified
The MRP area is specified and whether storage locations have been assigned to the MRP area if the plant and storage location are specified
If the
Stockholding
indicator is set, the system checks whether:
The plant and MRP area are specified
The plant is specified, but the provisions MRP area is not specified
Storage locations have been assigned to the provisions MRP area, if the plant and the MRP area are specified
If the
Stockholding
indicator is not set, the system checks whether:
The provisions MRP area is specified, if the plant is specified
The plant and MRP area are specified
Checks whether new storage locations are entered in the event of a plant switch (classes /ISDFPS/CL_STACHG_MM_CHECK_WW)
The system checks whether in the event of cross-plant reorganization, the new storage locations have already been assigned for the force element.
This check must be used for the status change
Activate
only.
The following follow-up actions are available for materials management:
Create material master data (class /ISDFPS/CL_STACHG_MM_MAT_CR)
This follow-up action is triggered when the status of a force element changes to
Active
. The relevant material master data is created for stocks and provisions on the basis of the template force element found.
See also Creation of Material Master Data .
Cross-plant reorganization: workflow storage location entry (classes /ISDFPS/CL_STACHG_WERK_CHG_WF and /ISDFPS/CL_STACHG_WERK_CHG_E)
If the force element is undergoing a cross-plant reorganization (organizational or operational structure), a workflow is triggered to assign the new storage locations. Since this workflow must be completed before the command and control relationship that belongs to the reorganization becomes active (see corresponding check), this follow-up action can be used only for a status change before the status change
Activate
.
See also Support for Cross-Plant Reorganization .
Cross-plant reorganization: material master copy (class /ISDFPS/CL_STACHG_WERK_CHG_MAT)
If the force element is undergoing a cross-plant reorganization, the creation of material master data in the new plant or new storage locations is triggered. Since this requires that the new storage locations be assigned, this action can be used only for the status change
Activate
.
See also Support for Cross-Plant Reorganization .
Cross-plant reorganization: jobs documents/stock (class /ISDFPS/CL_STACHG_WERK_CHG_BEL)
If the force element is undergoing a cross-plant reorganization, this follow-up action starts the assignment of the open documents to the new plant or new storage location. Background jobs are scheduled for the start date of the new lower-level relationship. Since this requires that the new storage locations be assigned, this action can be used only for the status change
Activate
.
See also Support for Cross-Plant Reorganization .
Update the storage location prioritization (class /ISDFPS/CL_STASUC_MM_PRIOTRANS)
When the status of the force element changes, the system assigns the relevant plant/storage location combinations the organizational priority, provided that this priority is specified for the force element. See also Logistics Data .
