 Personnel Categories

Definition

The personnel planned for a force element in order for the force element to perform its tasks/missions.

Use

In order to perform their tasks, the organizational elements of armed forces, police, and aid organizations require certain personnel .

Before you can equip the organizational elements with personnel, you have to assign positions to the relevant force elements in order to define their authorized personnel and to trigger the relevant processes for recruitment (and other HR processes) or relocation .

Note Note

This is contrasted with actual personnel , in the form of persons that are assigned to the positions. For information about assignments between personnel and positions, see Command and Control Relationships (Position) and Command and Control Relationships (Person) .

End of the note.

You can also assign persons to a force element directly (without assigning a position).

Structure

Personnel categories are displayed and edited in the Structures Workbench from the perspective of the selected force element on the Personnel Categories tab page.
