Assign Logistics Work Centers After Copy Operation

Use

After an organizational structure has been copied, the copy does not include the assignments to logistics work centers since they cannot be copied. You can use this function to generate and assign corresponding work centers for the copy. The system suggests appropriate assignments of the copy template as default values.

Integration

The Logistics Work Centers for Force Elements/Positions report is available for individually processing assignments of work centers to force elements or positions.

Prerequisites

You are familiar with the copying of structures and the /ISDFPS/BADI_ COPY _FOLLOW_UP Business Add-In . For more information, see Copying of Force Elements/Structures .

You are familiar with the assignments of logistics work centers to force elements and positions.

You are able to adjust the generation of work centers to meet your requirements. For more information, see Customizing under Start of the navigation path Defense Forces& Public Security Next navigation step Organizational Flexibility Next navigation step Force Element End of the navigation path :

  • BAdI: Create Logistics Work Centers After Structure Copy (Business Add-In /ISDFPS/BADI_CREATE_LO_WKC)

  • BAdI: Create HR Work Centers After Structure Copy (Business Add-In /ISDFPS/BADI_CREATE_HR_WKC)

Assignments between positions and HR work centers must not be copied along with the structure copy (see SAP Note 1349196 ).

You may have to select an organizational measure before you can edit force elements.

Features

If you have defined workflow 18000013 as a follow-up action to the copy operation using the /ISDFPS BADI_ COPY _FOLLOW_UP Business Add-In, the system uses this workflow to trigger the function for editing work centers after you make a copy.

Example Example

A sample implementation is available for this Business Add-In. This enables you to enter the required agent(s) in a dialog box after the copy operation and thus trigger this workflow.

End of the example.

After executing the work item, the system displays the copy generated by the copy operation and shows the corresponding objects of the copy template to which logistics work centers or HR work centers are assigned ( Does Not Exist in Target Structure status). Depending on the target structures that were copied to during the triggering copy operation, the system displays more than one usage type. The structures shown correspond to the key date that was used for the copy operation.

For an object (force element or position) selected in the structure, the system displays the details of all direct or indirect lower-level work centers in the detail area. Select the required object and choose Details . You can use these copy template assignments as a default for creating new assignments for the copy.

In the detail view, you are able to generate copies of these work centers that are assigned to the copy template with changed properties (name, plant assignment) and to directly assign the relevant objects to the copy.

Select the required rows and choose Create Objects to generate new work centers and assignments from the defaults. If required, you can first adjust the default properties (abbreviation, description, plant, and so on). The following additional functions are available:

  • Mass Change

You can assign the same value to all fields of a selected column.

  • Find and Replace

You can replace a character string with a different character string in all fields of a selected column.
