Procedure documentationEnabling Voice and Non-Voice Entities Locate this document in the navigation structure

 

You use this procedure to enable the voice and non-voice entities to use resources from appropriate locations at runtime.

Prerequisites

In addition, ensure that the voice model to be configured is open in the Visual Composer.

Procedure

  1. Choose the entity in the workspace.

  2. In the task panel toolbar, choose Configure.

  3. In the Configure <entity name> task panel enter the name of the entity.

  4. For a voice entity, choose the Settings button and configure the fields of the entity.

    Note Note

    The Settings button is not available for Start Point, End Point and Voice Component voice entities.

  5. For a non-voice entity, perform the following In Mapping and Out Mapping configurations:

    1. Choose the non-voice entity in the workspace.

    2. Using the secondary mouse button, choose In Mapping

    3. In the Map Data dialog box, map dataStore to Input of the datasource (BAPI or a Web service).

    4. For an input value under the column Target Field assign a variable created in the dataStore under the Assigned Value column.

    5. Choose Close.

    6. Choose the non-voice entity configured above in the workspace

    7. Using the secondary mouse button, choose Out Mapping.

    8. In the Map Data dialog box, map the Output of the datasource (BAPI or the Web service) to the dataStore.

    9. For output values under the Target Field column assign a variable created under the Assigned Value column.

      This saves data returned from the datasource in a variable in the dataStore.

    10. Choose Close.
