Customizing for the Budget

Different settings are needed for the budget planning in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service.

1. Settings in the Customizing of the BW-BPS systems (SAP Business Information Warehouse):
¡ Central attributes for the budget planning
¡ Settings for the budgeting method and the corresponding planning scenarios
¡ Configure an individual planning application (such as the planning application 4MCBA004 provided) by assigning the previously defined planning attributes and planning scenarios.
To do this, in the BW-BPS system choose SAP NetWeaver ® SAP Business Information Warehouse ® Settings for the Business Content ® Planning Content ® Product Lifecycle Management ® Budget Planning for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service.
2. Settings in the BW Content
Create Report Groups and Budgeting Groups, and herewith define the hierarchy of the planning units (that is, the hierarchy of the managers and maintenance planners).
3. Define the variables in the planning workbench of the BPS contents (see Definition of the Variables).
4. If necessary, configure in the system whether you also want to plan for equipments without having to specify a functional location (see Planning Only for Equipments or Only for Functional Locations).
5. Perform the STS Customizing (Status and Tracking-System).
6. Activate the Notice Function
Result
You have made the settings for the budget planning for plant maintenance and customer service. You can now perform the extraction.
