You create the initial address list version on the overview screen of the sales promotion, either immediately or with a background job.

Procedure

  1. On the Description tab page, choose Create immediat. in the Address section if you want to create the address list immediately.
  2. If you want to create the address list in a later background job, choose Create in background.

  3. In both cases, enter the following information:

If you are creating the address list with a background job, enter the date and time when you want the background job to run. The system applies the results of the background job to your direct mailing automatically.

NoteWhen you initiate the creation of an address list immediately or in the background, the system automatically saves the direct mailing first.

  1. Enter the necessary data in the Standard Selection Report for Addresses screen.

Result

Once the address list has been created, the system displays the following information on the direct mailing screen:

You can now edit the list of addresses or create additional versions by choosing Display addresses or Further versions. In the following screen, you can:

NoteBefore you can release a sales promotion, you must release the address list. For more information, see Completion Indicator in Address Lists.
