Use

With this function you can link a work area with an object in another SAP application (integration object). When you create the link, a reference to the data stored under the integration object is created. This means that you can also make information relevant for the work area but not managed in Industrial Hygiene and Safety available in work area management. For example, you can use the assignment of a storage location to determine stock data and movement data for a material that is assigned to an agent and transfer the data to the amounts for the agent.

Features

In the standard system you can link a work area with the following object types:

Note

Storage locations are not specified in the application, but in Customizing for Materials Management.

If you have made the necessary settings in Customizing, you can also use the function for other object types. For more information, see Specify Integration Objects for Work Area Management in Customizing for Industrial Hygiene and Safety

In the dialog box for the function there is one tab page for each object type on which you enter the integration objects as a list. If you have entered a work center or a functional location, you can navigate to the respective field in the display transaction for the object by double-clicking its name.

Integration

Data integration is evaluated in the following functions:

When you transfer a safety measure to maintenance processing as a task, you can specify the corresponding functional location when you create the notification.

You need to know the storage location to determine goods movement data and material stocks.
