Procedure

  1. Depending on whether you want to edit a work area or display it, choose one of the following options in the Industrial Hygiene and Safety menu:

If you have already run a search, the search parameters from the previous search are used again. You can also delete the search parameters using This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Search criteria.

  1. Enter your search parameters.

All the search parameters you enter here are linked together with AND.

In some fields such as Work area or Description, you can use both a generic search and a search with placeholders. In other words, you can set up your search parameters as follows:

The search does not make a distinction between upper and lower case spelling.

  1. If necessary, change the key date.
  2. The key date specifies the date from which the data records must be valid. The field displays either the current system date or the date of the previous search as the default.

  3. If you want to use the extended search function to find header data, agents, or integration objects, enter your parameters for the extended search in the Limiting criteria for work area selection group box.
  4. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text or This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

Result

The hit list appears in which the result of your search query is displayed and from which you can navigate to other functions.

If the system was unable to find the work area, you can start another search or create the work area you were looking for.

Note

The search function is executed using user exits of the category WKA_QUERY. When you set up your system, you can therefore define enhancements for additional search criteria. For more information, see Manage User Exits in Customizing for Industrial Hygiene and Safety.
