Entry of Values Using Amounts
Use
If an agent for which you want to perform a risk assessment is a quantifiable variable, you can enter measured values and other amounts in the amounts function. Depending on the nature of the agent, you can then analyze it using the
measured value-reference value comparison or the summated rating.By recording the amounts, you are also fulfilling your obligation to record and document data at the workplace.
Features
You can enter your measurement results in a structured manner. To do this you must first assign the values an amount category. The amount category describes the property of an agent that can be measured, for example, mass, volume concentration, noise level. You assign a
And you can also assign the amount category a measured value category, such as time-weighted average (TWA) or daily maximum. This assignment of the amount category to a measured value category provides you with what is known as a measurement item.

Which assignments are possible depends on the system settings you have made in Customizing for Industrial Hygiene and Safety in the IMG activity Specify Measurement Items.
You can store administration data such as a measurement job number, the measurement procedure, or a person responsible. This is purely for information purposes.
If measurements or values you want to enter in the amounts were already entered at other places in the SAP System, you can determine the data using the amount determination user exit function and transfer it to the amounts. The prerequisite for this is that the user exit contains the necessary routines and is assigned to the corresponding measurement item in Customizing for exposure management. For more information, see

You can execute a release process for each amount. See
If you want to enter control measurements for an existing measurement or a new measurement, you can create a follow-on measurement. This limits the validity of the existing measurement, that is it has a version assigned to it.
You can create follow-on measurements only for amount records whose end of validity is not yet limited, meaning they are still valid indefinitely.
