Use

You use this analysis method to assess mixed substances and single-substance agents that occur in combination.

The result contains the summated index (numeric value) and the additive rating (A, B, C, and so on). These then reflect the risk potential of the mixture.

Integration

The additive rating is taken into account when the main rating is calculated.

Prerequisites

The following prerequisites must be fulfilled for you to be able to use the function:

Activities

To call the function, navigate from the respective risk assessment to the analysis using This graphic is explained in the accompanying text and then choose the Summated Rating tab page.

Here you specify which constituents make up the mixture and assign the corresponding measurements. You can use the search dialog box to help you do this.

The system determines the corresponding reference values and calculates the individual ratings. It then determines the summated index and proposes an additive rating. You can change this value.

Specify the Constituents of the Mixture

You enter the constituents of the mixture in a list. In the result, for each agent the system displays the measured value with the corresponding reference value, the quotient of the measured value and reference value (index), the individual rating, and an optional weighting for the index.

To add an agent, proceed as follows:

  1. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text in the lower part of the Summated Rating tab page. This starts the user exit ANLS_MSFND with the function module CBIH_LB43_UE_MSMNT_FIND and the search dialog appears.
  2. In the search dialog, you can use the Work area and Composition indicators to specify whether the search is to be run for all agents entered in the work area or whether only agents are to be searched for that are part of a composition.
  3. When you search using the composition, the system evaluates the value assignment type Hazardous ingredients (SAP_EHS_1012_004) as standard. If you want to access another value assignment type, you must enter it in Customizing for Industrial Hygiene and Safety as the value for the environment parameter IHS_ERQT_ANLS_ESTCAT.

    Note

The system displays only the constituents of the composition for which you have entered measurements in the amounts function.

By specifying other search criteria for the agent and the measurement, you can further restrict the search.

  4. As the result of the search a hit list appears. Here you can select the required agents with the relevant measurements (amounts) and transfer them to the tab page. Before displaying the results, the system determines the following other data:
  1. You can assign a weighting factor to each index. The index is then multiplied by this value before the summated rating is calculated. The weighting is set to the value 1 as default.

Evaluate the Summated Values

In the Rating group box, the system displays the following summated values:

This is the sum of the indexes.

This is the result of adding the products of the weighting and the index.

You can calculate the relevant additive rating by using This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Rating. The user exit ANLS_SCRAT with the function module CBIH_LB42_UE_SCRAT_COMP is started for the calculation. You can overwrite the additive ratings manually.
