Definition

You can perform a detailed analysis of the workload of SAP R/3 Systems and non-SAP R/3 systems with the global workload monitor. If you want to analyze SAP R/3 Systems, the same analysis views are available to you as in the Structure linkSAP R/3 workload monitor.

An analysis is a particular aspect of the workload. Depending on which aspects of the workload you are interested in, you can output various workload parameters, sorted by different sort criteria (such as by applications, service types, transaction steps, and so on).

Note

The Internet Transaction Server is currently the only non-SAP R/3 component type for which statistics records are written that can be analyzed in the global workload monitor. We plan to include other component types in the future.

Use

To activate a particular analysis, choose the desired view in the Analyses subscreen by double clicking it.

The user profile displays the statistical data for each user. By double clicking a line, you can display the actions executed by this user.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Load from External Systems

This profile displays the load within the system that was created due to actions in other systems. Using the Aggregation dropdown menu, you can sort the list by action and user.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Response Time Distribution

This profile displays the response time distribution for the individual service types. The response time of the action steps are divided into ten adjustable categories (see Setting parameters for collecting statistics)
