Analysis of Non-SAP R/3 Systems
Definition
You can perform a detailed analysis of the workload of SAP R/3 Systems and non-SAP R/3 systems with the global workload monitor. If you want to
analyze SAP R/3 Systems, the same analysis views are available to you as in the
SAP R/3 workload monitor.
An analysis is a particular aspect of the workload. Depending on which aspects of the workload you are interested in, you can output various workload parameters, sorted by different sort criteria (such as by applications, service types, transaction steps, and so on).

The Internet Transaction Server is currently the only non-SAP R/3 component type for which statistics records are written that can be analyzed in the global workload monitor. We plan to include other component types in the future.
Use
To activate a particular analysis, choose the desired view in the Analyses subscreen by double clicking it.
Structure
The following analyses are available to you:
Analysis |
Meaning |
The overview shows how the load is distributed over the individual service types. You can display the average values per step or per transaction using tab pages. |
The action profile displays the most important times for all executed actions. |
The time profile displays the temporal distribution of action steps over a day. |
In these hitlists, the 40 most resource-intensive action steps are listed for each service type. There are hit lists of the action steps with the longest response time and the steps with the longest call time. |
The call statistics allow you to evaluate the calls of external components. You can display users, destinations, execution times, and quantity of data transferred. |
The user profile displays the statistical data for each user. By double clicking a line, you can display the actions executed by this user. |
This profile displays the load within the system that was created due to actions in other systems. Using the Aggregation dropdown menu, you can sort the list by action and user. |
This profile displays the response time distribution for the individual service types. The response time of the action steps are divided into ten adjustable categories (see Setting parameters for collecting statistics) |
This profile displays whether statistical data is available for a component in a check interval. Note that you cannot draw conclusions about the availability of the component from the availability of statistical data. |
