Proposal Pool Administration: Users

Use

The Users function in Proposal Pool Administration enables you to manage and reorganize the user names in the proposal pool.

Prerequisites

To use this function, you need to have coordinator status for proposal pool maintenance in your translator profile in transaction SLWA. For more information, see Creating Translator Profiles.

Features

This function enables you to do the following:

Display all the user names of users who have created proposals in the proposal pool for a specific source language and target language, along with the number of proposals that each respective user has created. For more information, see Displaying Users in the Proposal Pool.

Change the translation status of all proposals created by a specific user in the proposal pool for a specific source language and target language. For example, if a translator moves from Senior status to Advanced status, you could change the Translation status of all proposals created by this translator from 2 to 3. For more information, see Changing the Status of Users in the Proposal Pool.

Change the user name of the Creator of proposals in the proposal pool (for example, if a translator's user name changes for some reason). By using the User names function, you can ensure that all proposals created by the translator under the old user name now bear the new user name in Text details in the proposal pool. Activities

These three functions run as the background jobs. You can check their progress by choosing Run administration. When a background job has finished, the system outputs a log to the printer you have chosen, informing you of the number of proposals affected by the job you have just run.
