Changing the Status of Users in the Proposal Pool 

Use

If a translator's status changes (for example from Senior status to Advanced status), you can use the Change PP user status function in Proposal Pool Administration. This function ensures that all proposals created by this translator using the old status now bear the new status in the Translation status field in Text details in the proposal pool.

Procedure

  1. Call up transaction STMA and choose the Source language and Target language of the proposal pool in which the translator in question has been working.
  2. Choose Organization ® Users.
  3. Under Mode, choose Change PP user status.
  4. Under Change PP user status, enter the user name of the translator whose status you wish to change in the User field, and select the new status of the translator from the New user status in proposal pool field.
  5. Enter a comment for this background job.
  6. Choose Check to check the consistency of your entries.

    7. You can schedule the run if the message No inconsistencies were found appears.

  7. Choose Schedule.

    8. The system displays the dialog box Start Time that offers you further selection options.

  8. Choose either Immediate or schedule the job to run at night by choosing Date/Time.

    9. You can also schedule the run to start after a particular job or event, by choosing After job or After event.

    At operation mode refers to daytime or nighttime operation.

  9. Save your entries.

    10. The system displays a dialog box in which you can enter the name of the printer for the output of the log.

  10. Enter a printer name in the Output device field and choose Continue.

    11. The system displays a dialog box in which you can enter a background server on which you want the job to run.

  11. Select a background server and choose Choose.

The system asks you if you want to schedule the job. Choose Yes.

Result

The system runs a job to change the Translation status field in the Text details function in the proposal pool. After the run, this field will contain <New status> for all proposals that where last changed by the translator whose user name you specified.

You can check the status of this job by choosing Run administration.

When the job has finished the system will output a log to the output device you selected. This log tells you the number of entries in the proposal pool for which the content of the Translation status field has been changed.
