Translator profiles contain all the activities that translators/coordinators can perform in the translation system. System administrators need to create profiles which they can assign to translators and coordinators, before the start of productive translation.

Each user can have only one profile.

The profiles are defined locally in each system. Each profile contains one or more authorizations.

To create translator profiles, proceed as follows:

1. Call up the initial screen for transaction SLWA.
2. Select your target languages under the tab title Target language.
3. Choose Environment ® Translator profiles from the menu.
4. Select Create.
5. In the next screen, define:

• the name of the Translator profile
• a Description text.

6. For each Area (A1, A2, etc.), select a value. These values depend on which authorizations the translation should have the Area.
7. Save your profile.
   You can now assign this profile when you set up the translator.
