Proposal Pool Administration: Organization

Use

The Organization function in Proposal Pool Administration enables you to refresh proposal pool data so that usage counters and where-used information are accurate and up-to-date.

You can also use this function to pinpoint and delete any existing texts or entries in the proposal pool that are currently unused (in other words, have usage counter 0), and also to pinpoint and clean up any inconsistent assignments in the proposal pool.

Prerequisites

To use this function, you need to have authorization S_ADMI_FCD in your user profile.

You are recommended to make a safety export of entries in the proposal pool before you delete any unused entries or texts. For more information, see Exporting the Proposal Pool.

Features

This function enables you to do the following:

Refresh the usage counters in the proposal pool according to the current usage in the system. At the same time you can either delete or calculate the volume of unused entries (in other words source language and target language pairs). For more information, see Deleting Unused Entries in the Proposal Pool.

Refresh the where-used list data in the proposal pool and create a pattern worklist, without having to run an evaluation in SLWB. For more information, see Refreshing the Where-Used List.

Either correct or display any inconsistencies which may occur in the proposal pool (for example, identical system standard and application standard). For more information, see Deleting Inconsistencies in the Proposal Pool.

Either delete or calculate the volume of individual target text proposals that are no longer used as translations in the system. For more information, see Deleting Unused Texts in the Proposal Pool.

Activities

You can schedule these functions to run as background jobs. You can check the progress of a job by choosing Run administration.

You can view the number of unused entries/texts by selecting the respective job and choosing Display spool list ® Display contents, when your job is finished.
