Refreshing the Where-Used List

Use

The Where-used list function in Proposal Pool Administration enables you to refresh the where-used list data in the proposal pool, and create a PATTERN worklist at the same time, without having to schedule an evaluation run.

You can also see when the where-used list data was last refreshed. The date is displayed on this screen next to Refresh where-used list.

To see a history of the most recent where-used list runs, choose Overview of where-used lists from the application toolbar.

Procedure

  1. Call up transaction STMA and choose the Source language and Target language of the proposal pool for which you want to refresh the where-used list.
  1. Choose Organization ® Where-used list.

To define the minimum occurrence of entries in your PATTERN worklist, choose a value from the field on the right. For example, if you choose 25, your PATTERN worklist will only contain source texts that occur 25 times in the system, each time with a different set of language-independent characters. The default value is 8.

  1. Enter a comment for this background job.
  1. Choose Check to check the consistency of your entries.
  2. You can schedule the run if the message No inconsistencies were found appears.

  3. Choose Schedule.
  4. The system displays the dialog box Start Time that offers you further selection options.

  5. Choose Immediate or schedule the job to run at night by choosing Date/Time.
  6. You can also schedule the run to start after a particular job or event, by choosing After job or After event.

At operation mode refers to daytime or nighttime operation.

  7. Save your entries.
  8. The system displays a dialog box in which you can enter the name of a printer for the output of the log.

  9. Enter a printer name in the Output device field and choose Continue.
  10. The system displays a dialog box in which you can enter a background server on which you want the job to run.

  11. Select a background server and choose Choose.

The system asks you if you want to schedule the job. Choose Yes.

Result

The job is run in the background. You can check its progress by choosing Run administration.

When the job is finished, the new date of the refresh of the where-used list will be displayed under Reorganization / last execution.
